Let’s save energy
2009. 02. 27.
Fighting the seemingly unstoppable oil prices reminds us of the energy crisis in Western Europe in the mid-1970s. The current global crisis is inevitably leading to plummeting energy prices, which is a challenge everybody must face year after year.

The constant rise in energy prices tracks international prices – which may well exceed the resources of many families – and so a great number may face difficulties. The best if not the only way for households to combat energy prices is to save energy.

The energy consumption of families and households is affected by several factors such as the number in the household, their ages, habits, efficiency (e.g. operating appliances at certain times of the day, etc.). By following some pieces of good advice we can save significant amounts of energy, and we can constantly rein in our rising bills. For example, a family of three living on a 75 m2, 4-room apartment consumes 2500 kWh of electricity, 1500 m3 of gas and 220 m3 of water a year, and can make significant savings without any particularly great expense.

Energy saving = Environmental protection
